Teaching journey…

Barry is professor of Jazz Piano at Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, and has been teaching there for over twenty years. Since 2023 he also teaches at the Prins Claus Conservatoire in Groningen, NL. He has taught countless courses and masterclasses to teenagers and adults in the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia and the Netherlands. For the past twenty years he is a lead tutor at the Loire Jazz Summer School in France.

He has supported many students getting into conservatoire courses as well as jazz courses internationally such as Manhattan School of Music, Juilliard and Berklee College of Music.

Barry Green has been playing on the international jazz scene for 25 years. He lives between London and Rotterdam. He has played in clubs and festivals across the UK and Europe with musicians such as Dick Oatts, Charles MacPherson, Chris Cheek, Bill McHenry, Drew Gress, Tom Rainey, Adam Cruz, Gerald Cleaver, Judy Niemack, Conrad Herwig, Ian Shaw, Mike Clark, Dick de Graaf and many more. Has has two new albums recorded in New York awaiting release as well as forthcoming albums with Elaine Delmar, Brigitte Beraha, Ian Shaw, Tony Kofi and Alan Barnes.
